Tahiri: “Dynamite, a reaction of crime. Investigations on right path”

“It has increased in the recent years, because it has increased in a global level. As a consequence, it has increased even in Albania. On the other hand, the Albanian government and other government have also increased their efforts against this phenomenon that until yesterday didn’t have the right attention. We have proven that after the criminal proceedings and arrests of the last year, the organization and sending of Albanian citizens to Syria or in other conflicts has dropped immediately. This is a hit against the most visible part of this phenomenon, but on the same time, a more reliable solution is the fight against the factors that generate it”, Tahiri declared.

When asked about the recent incidents with dynamite, Minister Tahiri declared that they are a reaction of the crime towards the actions of the police against these groups.

“There is nothing surprising in the fact that the crime is reacting against our efforts to fight the crime world. This means that we are on the right track and the representatives of the crime world find no ways of cooperation or negotiation with the police and government. These attacks shake the public’s trust, but I can say without hesitation today that Albania is a much safer country than yesterday. This is based on the indicators for the fight against crime and the access that citizens have in the state plice, for sharing their concern since the first phases, and for looking for a stable solution to their problems through the institutions, especially through the police. We are conducting deep investigations for ending the violent cases of crime and the effect they have on the public’s trust, suchu as the attacks with explosive. They will be brought to justice very soon, and I say this with a deep conviction”, Tahiri declared.

Tahiri also confirmed that they have a strong support from the US experts for finding the authors of these dynamite attacks.
