In his meetings with the world leaders, the Serbian President Boris
Tadic will try to take support for resolving the problem of the Kosovo
border checkpoints with the implementation of the Ban Ki Moon plan of
2008.

The implementation of this plan, according to the Serbian political circles, is an attempt of the international community for accepting that “Northern Kosovo is special”, for starting the talks for autonomy or division.

The daily “Blic” writes that Tadic is expected to meet high-rank US, Russian and EU officials for taking their support on Belgrade’s stances.

Besides the efforts for resolving the situation in Northern Kosovo in favor of the Serbs, which means the removal of the Kosovo Customs and Police agents from Bernjak and Jarinje, the Serbian President will try to open a new dialogue for this area.

Tadic has been aiming the division of Kosovo for a long time, an aim for which some months ago he sent a clear message to official Tirana for dividing the territories.

Meanwhile, the latest proposition for the northern part of Europe’s newest state made the head of the ICO, Peter Faith, propose the model of Catalonia in Spain.

Official Prishtina has considered both propositions as unacceptable, because according to the Kosovo government, the Ahtisari plan is sufficient for Northern Kosovo.
