Swamp in the middle of Durres

The foundations of an apartment building in one of the most visited
areas by tourists in Durres has turned into a waste dump and source of
infections.

While the hot season is getting closer, the lack of intervention has alarmed the residents of the surrounding areas, who asked the Municipality to not stay indifferent but intervene for resolving the situation.

The construction has been blocked due to a long conflict between businessmen and owners, and has turned the pit into a swamp.

Residents have presented their concern at the Municipality, and only recently they have decided to take measures.

“We will intervene with our authority to close once and for all this problem that is turning into a source of infections for Durres”, declared Vangjush Dako, Mayor of Durres.

The delay of the judiciary processes has prolonged this situation for a very long time.
