Surveillance of politicians by Military Secret Service?

Several months after the strong accusations made by the Socialist Party against alleged illegal surveillance made when they were in opposition, the Tirana Prosecutors are unable to find any answers, since the scientific police experts have told them that they have no equipments that can spy on a military equipment, since it has an unbreakable system.

“In these conditions, the investigation group asked the help of a well-known embassy in Tirana for assistance”, Prosecution sources say.

The investigators have also requested help from the Israeli company that produced the equipment which was bought by the Albanian Military Secret Service. Prosecutors have asked the former Military Secret Service Director, Ylli Zyla, who insisted that this equipment has never been used inside the Albanian territory. According to Zyla, it was bought for secret missions abroad.

In the report of some months ago, it is said that this equipment of the Military Secret Service, bought for 1.5 million EUR, has been used to survey politicians, especially from the left wing, and diplomats in Tirana.

Besides the suspicions that it has been used for power abuse, the Tirana Prosecution is also investigating for other law violations regarding the equipment purchase procedures.
