The Supreme State Audit declared that the concessionaries exploiting oil
in Albania have committed scary tax evasion which mounts up to 5% of
the GDP.
Leskaj said that this financial crime has been realized with the blessing of the state structures, the institutions that support the concessionaries, such as the National Agency of Natural Resources or Albpetrol.
“I have informed the President, the Prime Minister and the Prosecution General to investigate the actions and failure to act of the current and former leaders. I have also proposed the current Minister to discharge the three leaders of the Fuel Agency”, Leskaj declared.
Leskaj was present in the parliamentary commission of economy to present the annual report of the Supreme State Audit for 2014 and the first half of this year.
“The economic damage discovered during this time is 27 billion ALL, 11 billion of which only for 2014 and 16 billion for the firs semester of this year”, Leskaj specified.
The SSA Head listed a series of recommendations for the government and Parliament, underlining the impunity of high-rank officials.
