The Supreme State Audit says that the public administration abuses with
properties in the past four years reached a total of 18 million EUR.

According to the SSA, they have carried out 40 inspections for the 2013-2017 period, 22 at the property registration office and 18 at regional offices of the Property Legalization Agency.

SSA says they have verified a series of violations, such as falsified documents, illegal legalizations, tax evasion, etc.

These abuses reach a total of 2.4 billion ALL, according to the SSA, but this is just the damage that can be calculated. The hidden damage could be even higher, and it is related to a chain of social, environmental and legal consequences.

Ssa reports that they have reported 196 employees at the prosecution and asked for 134 others to be fired. Property Registration and Property Legalization offices were mostly accused by citizens of corruption.

Two weeks ago Prime Minister Rama fired publicly every director of property registration offices, accusing them of nepotism, deforming data and corruption.
