Supreme State Audit says 534 million EUR of damage caused by violations since 2013

Public officials, mainly from the high-level, have caused a 534 million
EUR damage to the budget in 2 years and a half, according to the Supreme
State Audit.

SSA said they held 154 full controls during the past year on public institutions and companies, and the recorded violations start from January 2013 to September 2016.

SSA says that the total damage mounts up to 346 million EUR through violations of the financial discipline with negative consequences in the budget. Other 188 million EUR are caused by irregular spending.

The SSA says they have sued 191 officials for the violations, most of them under investigation by the Prosecution.
