“Every cent used by the government to encourage and support agricultural
investments should return profits.” This is the message of Prime
Minister Edi Rama during a meeting with the Malesi e Madhe farmers, to
promote the agricultural subvention scheme.
“Today we are handing over the agreements for the first 60 investments in agriculture, which means that by increasing the fund for encouraging the agricultural development with 70%, compared to one year ago, we have stopped the distribution of this fund without criteria, but we addressed it to farmers and are expecting from them to apply these projects for creating a chain of values, and turn it from an initial investment into a constant growth of employment and exports. Shkoder will have the biggest funds for agriculture and cattle in a national level, something that the Shkoder Democrats didn’t expect”, Rama declared.
The Minister of Agriculture, Edmond Panariti, declared that at promised, the new government gave more priority to the investment scheme, because they are all-inclusive.
“Producers, farmers and transporters will all benefit from this. It is a chain of values. We need to work for regionalizing the cultures. Our new philosophy of support is based mainly on investments, on the creation of a chain of investments, because they generate more revenues, increase the export potentials and the revenues of the national economy and of your families”, Panariti declared.
Rama and Minister Panariti visited the sage cultivation farm, one of the most requested Albanian medical plants in the foreign market.
The cultivators of this plant will benefit the supportive fund. He says that the Albanian sage has an autochthonous seed that is being requested even more in international markets. “80% of this product goes to America”, he declared.
