The Ministry of Energy is working for the gas infrastructure study so
that our country can benefit from the Azerbaijani gas after the
construction of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline.
Minister Damian Gjiknuri declared that one of the interested companies for the gasification of Albania is the 20% owner of TAP, Socar.
“We are about to receive part of the funds from some EU programs, and we have intensified the relations with Azerbaijan, specifically with SOCAR, as a strategic partner that has shown interest to be part of the gasification of Albania”, declared the Minister of Energy, Damian Gjiknuri.
In the Albania-Kosovo forum for energy, Gjiknuri declared that the gasification process will be of value for both countries, same as other energy projects. The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Behxhet Pacolli, underlined the importance of the economic union between Albania and Kosovo.
“We are for national unification. We want it and we always carry it in our hearts. But I listed economic unification first, because by improving the economic situation, we can increase the citizens’ awareness”, declared the Deputy Minister of Kosovo, Behxhet Pacolli.
