Students have now one more chances to contact with companies that offer
jobs or scholarships. The “Career Fair” was opened at the Faculty of
Natural Science today, where dozens of companies held interviews with
students and distributed questionnaires for their interests.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Arban Mazniku, underlined that these reforms in the higher education will approach the students’ requests with the market demands.

“They need to focus on the way how they will make applicable the knowledge they receive in schools, and how can we change these, so that they can become more applicable in the daily life”, declared Arbian Manziku, Deputy Minister of Education.

The Minister of Social Welfare, Erion Veliaj, declared that besides the social insurance for one year and four months, which are covered by the government, now there is another fund for 600 students who want to do their internship in these private companies.

“We cannot accept that students work in the black market, or continue with 3 months internships and then are removed for a new students. This means that companies take free workers and they could continue with this in eternity. To end this, we have approved another Council of Ministers decision with 600 students. This means that if a company is not ready to offer a job today, but they want to offer only internship and practice, we will cover it for six months”, declared Erion Veliaj, Minister of Social Welfare.

In the job fair was present the French Ambassador to Tirana and the Rector of the Tirana University, Dhori Kule, who valued this as a good opportunity for students.
