State Audit reports Public Procurement Commission Director and two members

The Supreme State Audit filed a report at the Prosecution against the former Director of the Public Procurement Commission, Gentian Kerri, and two former members of this institution.

SSA found several violations after auditing their work from January 1st, 2015 to August 31st, 2017, such as unjustly qualifying and disqualifying economic operators for procurement procedures.

The SSA also found that the Public Procurement Commission has chosen as winner an operator with the highest bid, while none of the economic operators could fulfil the qualifying criteria.

The total damage calculated at the final report mount up to 248,868,262 ALL.

For three decisions taken by the Public Procurement Commission, the Supreme State Audit has filed a criminal report to the Prosecution against the former leader, Gentian Kerri, and two current members, accused of power abuse and violating equality in public tenders and auctions.

The first decision is about blood medicaments and blood-forming organisms for hospital needs, issued on April 6th, 2016, held at the Health Ministry with a fund limit of 55,127,233 ALL.

The second decision regards the purchase of five armoured vans, with a fund limit of 15,500,000 ALL, issued on December 29th, 2015 by the Albanian Post.

The third decision regards the maintenance of road segments Tirana-Ndroq-Romanat and Plepa-Ura e Farkes, with a fund limit of 47,357,107.
