Special exhibition of historic Albanian flags at National Museum of History

The 105th anniversary of independence was celebrated at the National Museum as well.

Same as every year, the Museum displayed personal belongings of Ismail Qemali and Isa Boletini, and 30 flags of the independence period, which were offered in cooperation with the National Center of Collectors.

Dorian Koci, the Director of the National Museum of History, said that this exhibition is special since it includes many elements which show Albania’s path towards independence and the first state-forming steps. “We are focusing on 1912 and until mid-1920s”, Koci declared.

There are two other important museum objects in this exhibition.

“We have the original pen with which the independence act was signed, and the Morse apparatus through which many telegrams were sent to European governments for recognizing Albania’s independence”, Koci declared.
