The Parliament of Macedonia approved the law that makes Albanian the second official language.
During today’s session, a tensioned former Prime Minister, Nikolla Gruevski, attempted to physically attack the Albanian Speaker, Talat Xhaferi.
In a live phone call with Top Channel, Xhaferi said that the law now enters in effect immediately and makes way for other matters which are withholding Macedonia’s integration.
As for the conflict with the former Prime Minister, Xhaferi said those scenes should not happen: “I have not had conflicts with anyone. My job was to lead the session and they tried to block it. These scenes should not happen”, Xhaferi said.
