The Socialist Party members voted today in 385 ballot boxes to end the
internal debate for the validation of the leader’s mandate.

The first data come from a SP source and suggest a massive participation, with the highest number of voters in Malesi e Madhe, with 94.8%, Vau I Dejes with 93.6%, Hasi 87.9%, Puka 86.3%, Tropoja 76.7%.

The counting ended at the Lezha Municipality, with the participation at 76.7%, with 97.15% voting in favor and 2.85% voting against. After the voting in the Dajti area, Prime Minister Rama declared that such a referendum will be repeated in the future.

“This is not the first time that we will use the referendum to widen the participation possibilities and the access in decision making for every member of our party, in a process that has a special importance, since the SP is open and is getting larger each day”, Rama said.

Ben Blushi, who opposed the referendum, did not make any public appearance, but said for the media that it is a show for not allowing him to run, and to leave the Socialist Party without a choice.

Blushi said there are violations and abuses with the lists. He added that commissions were changed, the participation was fictive and the boxed were filled with ballots especially in villages where the participation, according to Blushi, was 30% in average.
