The increased number of criminal acts in the recent days has brought a
reaction from the Socialist Party, which asked the state police to
guarantee the safety of the citizens.
The Socialist Party Parliament Member declared in a press release that our country is facing a never seen before escalation of the crime.
“The country is facing an alarming escalation of the crime, never seen or heard before. From attacks to domestic violence, mafia style retaliation and even the presence of masked robberies on the road. Albania has plunged into criminality, and these are foretold crimes. The victims had reported the threat to the police, and the authorities should have prevented them before the fatal consequences took place. Although there is a Prime Minister in our government, our state has been abandoned and the police has turned into a funeral agency that counts victims. We are convinced that the citizens deserve a peaceful transition, not a bloody rotation with anarchy, self-justice and weapons spread as in 1997. We appeal the Police to do their job and guarantee the safety of our citizens. They must show that the state is there even when governments collapses. Show that the police is ready to defend their lives and properties”, Tahiri declared.
