The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, declared that the majority has not withdrawn from the decision to remove President Ilir Meta from his duty.
“Albania is a Parliamentary Republic. The President has committed an anti-constitutional act”, he said.
When asked if the Socialist Party will file a second request for removing Meta from his duty, Balla said that this will happen within the deadline.
The Socialist Party has strongly opposed the decision of President Meta to repeal the decree that sets June 30th as the date for the local elections.
