SP group, Blushi: “Elections for party leader”

25/01/2016 13:45

The Socialist Party Group meeting of this Monday was accompanied by
debates on the elections within the Socialist Party and voices for
government change.

Socialist MP Ben Blushi said that the SP is in a critical moment, since no elections are held for the past six years.

“The economy is bad. Unemployment is high. The coalition is not stable. The party needs to elect its own leader. The DP leader is the only one with a seven year mandate and is about to have a permanent one. Every party has elections every four our two years. A party that has no elections for itself has difficulties with its own the those they have elected”, Blushi said.

Blushi excluded the need for general elections, but said that the group requested an analyze of the government, which could reinforce the voices for cabinet changes.
