SP: Finances are out of control

The Socialist Party continued to report what they call “failures of the
Berisha government”. The opposition declared that another government for
the Albanian people to not vote Sali Berisha, is the fact that the
public finances are out of control.
“The public debt has grown with 300 million USD in the first three months of this year. If grows with 2.8 million USD every day, and 140.000 USD for every hour that Berisha and Bode stay in government. The public debt reached 8.6 billion USD on March 31st 201. The debt grows bigger, but the economy is stalling. The debt grows bigger, but the unemployment figures are not getting lower. The debt goes bigger, but poverty is as harsh as before. The debt grows bigger, and the functional illiteracy figures also grow bigger. The debt grows bigger, but the health system is getting ruined”, Declared Ilir Beqja.
The opposition thinks that the government’s economic model brings a higher debt for citizens, but no better welfare.
“We need a new economic model. We need a revival for the economy and the administration of the public finances. We are ready to turn it into a reality. With our program “For an Albanian Revival”, with the winning team of the Socialist Party; with the Alliance for European Albania and with Edi Rama as Prime Minister after the June 23rd elections”, Beqja declared.
The public debt according to the government is expected to reach 63.8% this year, or 10% more than in 2007.
