SP: Electoral College violated law

Socialist Party accused the Electoral College for law violation. According to SP deputy Damian Gjiknuri, these violations can be verified in the
explanatory arguments released by the Electoral College.

Gjiknuri said that the legal deadline is only one of many other violations made by the Electoral College. Despite the fact that in the explanatory arguments it is taken for granted that the Election Central Commission decided to review all ballots, this inspection was done only to one part of the ballot boxes.

“CEC inspected only 117 ballot boxes, but there are more than 2000 of them. The logic of the Electoral College argument behaves as the Central Election Commission has opened all boxes”, Gjiknuri declared.

The Electoral College has supported its decision by referring to the Constitution, but according to Gjiknuri, these references do not exist in the Constitution, and are contradictory to what they are quoted for.

Mr. Gjiknuri opposed one part of the Electoral College argument, which stated that the Socialist Party has not offered proofs for supporting its appeal.

“ODIHR report said that the vote counters were trained to treat miscast ballots as invalid. Until May 14th, when the counting process was over, these ballots were considered as invalid”, Gjiknuri declared.
