The Socialist Party insists that the audio recording and the video testimony published by the Democratic Party are part of a mafia-style manipulation.
The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, said in Parliament that Lulzim Basha is the author and director of this manipulated audio and video, which, according to Balla, is their only hope to block Albania’s EU accession negotiations.
Balla says that the person who gave the testimony is a random impostor sentenced several times for various crimes.
“This shows that this political party is using mafia-style methods to address their problems”, he said.
Balla asked the Prosecution to carry on with the investigation. “This person should either be taken under custody for the testimony, or charged with false testimony”, he said.
