The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, met this Tuesday with member of the
group “for organization and coordination of the electoral campaign of
2017”.
Six region coordinators reported the progress of meetings and the problems verified with the base. One source from this meeting said for Top Channel there is no final decision for holding a congress on January, as decided by the National Agency.
This is explained by the fact that the election of party leaders in most of the cities are not over yet. Including the refreshing of the membership lists for new members.
These are the concerns raised by MP Bashkim Fino. However, sources from the SP say that all leading structures of the party are working with full intensity, as if the elections were closer than 2017.
The first one to request a postponing of the congress was MP Koco Kokedhime, but his initiative was opposed by the Head of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Gramoz Ruci, and some other coordinators.
