SP: CEC, unprecedented decision

In a live interview with journalist, Ilir Paco, on Top Channel’s main news edition, Mr.Bele declared that this shows the absurd way how the Central Election Commission works, and that they are acting politically, driven by a post made on Sali Berisha’s Facebook account.

Paço: On what basis are you saying that the ballot boxes have been manipulated in Lunder, after the counting process has ended?

Bele: On the way how the Central Election Commission is acting, and the precedent of 2011, when the ballot boxes were moved in an uncontrolled way and the ballots passed from one box to another. This institution is showing a lack of will to hold the process by joining the side of the Democratic Party. They are trying to create an alibi for the loss, being unable to change the plebiscite vote.

Paço: After this decision for Lezhe and Shkoder, could there be a trend for opening the ballot boxes in other districts?
 
Bele: We have raised our suspicions for this process, and the votes of the Albanian people cannot be changed. But this is against the law and leaves room for all suspicions. The law has deadlines. This process is illegal. All deadlines have expired.

Paço: Could there be a change of the result, with the left coalition having less Parliament Members, and what will you do if this happens?

Bele: We believe that the fourth mandate in Lezhe is consolidated and the counting process will return that. However, the Socialist Party has asked to consider this result invalid, since there is one polling station where people have voted to 90%, and the Socialist Party is ready to run again in that area.
