Albanian opposition accused the government of trying to buy independent Media with dirty money, and of trying to raze to the ground buildings of Medias that cannot be bought.
“Berisha and Basha’s dirty money machine of corruption and smuggling is working at full capacity, trying to restore dictatorship by using dirty money to buy Medias that have managed to remain independent, and trying to raze to the ground buildings of Medias that cannot be bought,” Sajmir Tahiri declared.
According to him, the government needs these actions to build the electoral mask of their Tirana candidate and to transform the country into a “mafia republic”, where dirty money is used to disturb the elections.
Tahiri referred to the News24 case, which, according to Tahiri, people close to the government have been trying to buy at any cost.
“The ultimate and most flagrant case is that of News24. People directly connected to the government are trying to buy this television at any cost, using the dirty money of corruption, money for which Berisha killed innocent citizens on the boulevard. Dirty money coming from arms traffic that dictators of the world use to kill their citizens, who protest for freedom and democracy”, Tahiri declared.
