The Socialist Party made a balance of the celebrations for the 100th
anniversary of independence, listing a series of violations of
protocols.

“This historic day was accompanied by an institutional chaos, a lack of professionalism, outmoded folklores and empty acts that reached new peaks”, Artan Lame reported.

“The Chaos and craziness that accompanied this important day is divided in protocol and monumental craziness. We all saw the symbol of our flag deformed. The President lacked of dignity and members from the diplomatic body who were unable to sit in tribunes and others that didn’t even come”, he added.

According to Lame, one of the most notorious violations was the deformation of the eagle.

“Hundreds of thousands of flags were distributed with a very deformed eagle. Everyone was surprised by this and said that such a matter can be fixed by a law. But laws have no value when are on the hands of Talibans with vuvuzelas. The peak was reached with Hasan Prishtina’s statue that was placed behind the National Museum, while on the other end there will be the statue of the self-declared king. The victim and his killer will be in front of each other. Another peak was reached with the status of Ismail Qemali. They didn’t produce one, but they took the one that was inside the Museum and placed it in a public garden, calling it an inauguration”, Lame declared.

Lame listed a long list of objects that the Prime Minister had promised to realize before the 100th anniversary and failed.
