The operation time of the Vetting commissions that are selecting Albanian judges and prosecutors will be extended by another 30 months, in order for the process to be completed.
Today the Assembly decided the commission of electoral reform and territorial reform will start working, as well as the commission of inquiry for violations in incinerators.
With 118 votes and 4 abstentions, the Assembly approved the extension of the Vetting deadlines.
To approve the extension of the mandate of the vetting bodies, 94 votes were needed, of which 74 had the socialist majority, while shortly before the start of the Assembly, the Democratic opposition formalized the vote in favor.
The group of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha were against, while the SMI party abstained.
