The EU Ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca, handed over the progress report of the European Commission to the Chairwoman of the Integration Commission, Rudina Hajdari.
“Now it is up to the Council to take a proper decision. We need to address the government and the opposition, and all other parties, to overcome their divisions and think about a joint orientation for integration”, Soreca said.
“In the meanwhile, a lot of work must be done with the EU member countries to explain the progress made so far. But we also need to convince the skeptical states about the European perspective of Albania”, said the Ambassador in a press release.
