The task force established by the Tirana Prefect in cooperation with the
Tirana Municipality, has decided to close the market at the former
Dinamo Plant in Tirana, and that at the “Ish Qyteti i Nxenesve”.

The relations of this task force show a lack hygienic structures at the former “Dynamo Plant” market, while at the Hamdi Pepa market, most of the objects are kiosks that do not fulfill the most minimal conditions for selling food products.

The relations also underline that these subjects often violate the tax laws by openly challenging the state administration institutions.

The Task Force was led by Prefect Sadi Vorpsi, the vice Mayor of Tirana, Enno Bozdo, the Director of the National Food Agency, the Regional Environment Directory, the Head of the Municipal Police, etc, came with the decision to completely close the market.

This decision will be executed by the Municipal Police, while representatives of the merchants say that they had not been informed about this decision.

Merchants somehow expected this decision, however, they seem surprised and warn for protests, since they think that the decision is not about the hygienic conditions, but about freeing the area for new constructions.
