A new technology for road illumination will be implemented in Albania.
The first test of this system was made in the Prush-Gropaj road of the
Vaqarr commune, Tirana, in presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who
watched closely the functionality and advantages of this technology.

“This is 100% green energy that will resolve the horrible problem of vandalism and theft of cables on roads. This also resolves the local government spending problem. It also resolves a problem with the power distribution company, because local governments don’t pay due to the lack of funds, especially communes. This technology will make a general resolution and transforms Albania into a role model, because this technology is new even for Europe”, Rama declared.

The Prime Minister declared at the Vaqarr factory that these lamps need to be placed throughout the entire country. This local production comes with a low cost and allows good maintenance.

“It is very important to make a huge transformation in the road illumination area. It is ridiculous that our highways, which are huge investments, have no Illumination”, Rama declared.

The Director of the Albanian Development Fund, Benet Beci, declared that this system can still be functional even after several days of rainy weather.
