The murder of Sokol Veizi, two years ago, was caused over a property conflict on which the fisherman had built his house.
Sokol’s mother, Nazo Veizi, says that now that the murderer of her son is found, her pain is a bit lighter. She says that the Mehillaj brothers who ordered the murder of her son are neighbors and old owners of a land that Sokol had received with Law 7501.
“That land belonged to the Mehillaj family, but it was given to me by the reform. Now they say it belongs to them. When Sokol started building a shop, the Mehilli told us to stop, but the land was ours, according to law 7501”, Veizi declared.
The woman works hard to maintain the family that Sokol left behind. His 16-year-old girl says that she will wait for justice by the state. “Certainly, I feel a bit lighter, because we didn’t know where it came from”.
Veizi was killed two years ago in Orikum and police suspected since then it was carried out by professionals, but were unable to find the real author.
The killers were revealed by Julian Sinani’s declaration at the police, who said that the murder had been ordered to him by the Mehillaj cousins, who rewarded him with a small apartment.
