The opposition commemorated the 67th anniversary of the liberation of
Tirana from occupying armies, with the Socialist leaders, led by Edi
Rama, paid homage to the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.

Together with them were the veterans who have commemorated with nostalgia that important moment for the history of our country.

On behalf of the opposition, the head of the Tirana Socialist Municipal Councilors, Aldrin Dalipi, considered this date as a key moment in the history of the Albanian capital that marked the victory of freedom.

“For this reason, this day makes all of us remember those young people who fell while believing in justice and democratic values”, Aldrini declared.

For the Socialists, the history of the Tirana War must not be forgotten or left aside.

“I hope that the next generations will not forget this big day for Tirana, and the sacrifices of all people who fought for freedom and democracy”, he added.
