The meting of the Council of Mandates and Regulations in the Albanian
Parliament has come to an end. The MPs discussed the sub-legal acts of
the decriminalization law.

After it was over, the Socialist Party MP, Taulant Balla, confirmed that parties were able to reach consensus for all matters.

Earlier the day, both political parties have expressed their will to reach consensus for the sub-legal acts and for the implementation of the decriminalization law, but they have not agreed if the Parliament should pass it or not.

Edi Paloka, from the Democratic Party, said that the Parliament should stop working with other things and reach consensus within this very day. Gramoz Ruci, from the Socialist Party, said they are also ready to reach consensus for the sub-legal acts, but different from Paloka, he said that the Parliamentary session must continue.

The Palriament was interrupted for one hour, after Paloka requested a meeting of the Democratic Party group.

The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, spoke today in Parliament and said that the past session for voting the new ministers of the government was a low provocation against the opposition.

“You brought killers in Parliament to vote for your ministers. This is an act that forces the opposition MPs to think of a final solution. These acts are very ugly after two years of debate about crime and decriminalization. The main supporter of crime, Edi Rama and two-three judges are able to create civilian conflict with a total lack of responsibility”, Berisha declared.
