Snowfalls have started in parts of Albania, causing the first difficulties in the road segment Korçe-Dardhe.
Only 5 cm of snow recorded at altitudes above 1200 m were enough to bring traffic problems in this area, while its cleaning has not yet begun. In the northeastern region of Korca there are several axes without companies contracted for snow removal.
The axis Korça-Dardhë, Korçë-Ersekë-Leskovik, Korçë-Lozhan-Moglicë and Korçë-Goricë are currently unable to be cleaned as there are no contracts with companies after procurement complaints, and currently no one cleans these axes. Even in the axis of Dardha, where it is currently snowing, it is not being cleaned as no company has been contracted for this work. Meanwhile, from the prefecture of Korca, efforts are being done to manage this situation with companies whose contracts have expired.
