The city of Kukës in the north of Albania was whitened today by snowfall after lowering of temperatures.
In the images provided by Top Channel, you can see the heavy snowfall that has limited the movement of citizens.
In addition to snowfall in the Kukes area, during the night and in the early hours of the morning, heavy rainfall has affected other parts of the territory.
According to the Civil Protection Commission in Kukës, the height of snow in the Valbona region is 50 cm, Shishtavec 10 cm, Qafë-Shllak 30 cm and Qafë Prush 20 cm.
National roads are passable normally. The contractors worked all night to keep the roads ready, clearing the snow.
Rural roads under the administration of the municipalities are partially passable by vehicles with chains. Electricity supply is generally normal in the whole Kukës Region except the village of Bushtricë, old Tropojë, Lekbibaj and Llugaj, as well as some villages in Has.
Snowfalls have also included the area of Dibra, where in some places the thickness has gone up to 25 centimeters.
While the rains have caused difficulties in movement in some neighborhoods of the city of Durrës. If the situation worsens, problems in the circulation of vehicles can be caused.
