The Socialist Movement for Integration welcomed today’s decision of the
Central Election Commission for removing the mandates of MPs Selami and
Tahiri, and that of the Kavaja Mayor, Rroshi.
Luan Rama, SMI vice leader, declared that the decriminalization process must return citizens’ trust to politics. For this he encouraged institutions to implement it.
“The decriminalization process shows our determination to bring back citizens’ trust on politics. SMI supports the recent decisions of the CEC and encourages all law-enforcing institutions to realize the process”, Rama said.
He added that the SMI remains determined to create an Albania with Euro-American standards of political involvement.
