The Socialist Movement for Integration will give its vote for the vetting law if their 19 amends will be accepted, as they have agreed with the majority.
“The police vetting is a very important instrument, seeing the situation in which we are today. The first steps of the draft-law are very important, with the situation of the police being miserable, due to the involvement of many police segments with criminality. This shows that the vetting is indispensable. We are waiting for the 19 amendments of the SMi to be voted. This is no political caprice, just making our law more similar to the European and democratic legislation, leaving less room for abuse with police”, said the leader of the SMI, Monika Kryemadhi.
For Kryemadhi, this uniting of votes between the SMI and SP will not create problems with the DP, since her political movement serves to citizens only.
She asked Prime Minister Rama to distance himself from declarations that the seizing of 613 kg of cocaine was an Albanian operation.
“He must take his responsibilities as Prime Minister and distance himself from organized crime. This huge drug quantity shows the misery of Albania”, Kryemadhi declared.
