The Socialist Movement for Integration has officialized the candidates
for 15 municipalities that will be represented by this political force.
The SMI vice leader, Petrit Vasili, declared that together with the candidates, they have also decided on the electoral program.
Parliament Speaker and SMI leader, Ilir Meta, underlined that the new territorial reform will detach the local government from political dependency.
Another novelty, according to the second person in charge of the majority, will be gender equality in every municipal council.
“These are very important elections, because they will show the good will of the majority to respect the citizens’ vote. The citizens’ vote is more important than the result, that’s why these elections will be positive for everyone”, Meta declared.
After giving his guarantee for a transparent electoral campaign, the Parliament Speaker underlined that the candidates are mutual with the SP, as part of the coalition.
