More than 48 hours from the dramatic events at the Parliament of Albania, where opposition protesters tried to stop the government from voting the provisory Prosecutor General, the SMI leader, Monika Kryemadhi, said on Top Story that they are ready to vote the KLP members within 24 hours.

Kryemadhi said that this is being blocked by Rama, so that the National Bureau of Investigation, the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and the High Council of Prosecutors will not be established.

Lawyer Spartak Ngjela, on the other hand, said that there is no violation of the Constitution with the appointing of the Provisory Prosecutor General.

According to Ngjela, the ones who drafted the judiciary reform didn’t trust the Albanian politicians from both sides. Fearing that the creation of the institutions could be delayed, they drafted the law that allows the government to appoint a provisory prosecutor general.

Ngjela insists that if there was a constitutional violation, the opposition would have taken it to the Constitutional Court, the legal way, without the need to protest.
