The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ilir Meta, met
with the structures of his party in Vlore, where he said that the
conflict created between the Ministry of Education and high-school
graduates was unnecessary.

“This is an artificial conflict that exhausts the people’s energy, especially that of our youth. politics must focus on resolving problems, not keeping up conflicts that don’t resolve anything. we need to be a humble country that doesn’t have the luxury to keep making our youth leave the country. Our political, social, economic and educative environment doesn’t create the necessary conditions for youth to feel motivated and safe for the future”, Meta said.

The SMI leader added that extreme measures need to be taken for punishing everyone who tries to manipulate the vote of Albanians.

“We support the recommendations of OSCE/ODIHR to guarantee maximal transparency and high European standards for uncontestable elections” Meta said.
