The Socialist Movement for Integration asked the Prime Minister to be
reasonable and withdraw from the decision to replace the Central
Election Commission member.
“None of the 7 members is a representative of any party. This is an effort to violate the CEC politically. It is illegal, an open violence of a pseudo-majority that will be like that only for a few days. We are concerned about this position of the Prime Minister, even after the request made by the EU and the US”, declared Ylli Manjani, vice leader of the SMI.
Manjani: Podesta spreading panic
Asked by the journalists about an e-mail that Podesta Company has sent to the international media, in which it considers Berisha’s initiative to replace the CEC member as right, Manjani declared that this company really has an agreement with the government to improve the country’s image in the west. With that e-mail they are spreading panic, and this makes us understand that the western chancelleries have boycotted our Prime Minister. But that company is paid with our money and no one has the right to play with that. They are paid for the image of Albania, and Albania does not belong to the Prime Minister”, Manjani declared.
