A monument of the Albanian National Hero, George Kastrioti Skanderbeg, will be erected in Budapest, Hungary, near the place where today stands the monument of Janos Hunyadi, the Hungaria’s national hero.
Tirana and Budapest will deepen their cooperation for implementing important projects, especially as regards water systems, cleaning, public transportation, culture and tourism.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, received the Mayor of Budapest, Istvan Tarlos, in Tirana’s city hall where he gave his counterpart the City’s Key in a sign of friendship and gratitude for the cooperation.
Both counterparts valued the excellent relations between both countries and expressed their readiness to work together on many other matters of great interest for both capitals.
Both Mayors visited the “Janos Hunyadi” plaque in Tirana, where they placed wreaths and panted a tree that symbolizes the friendship between both people.
