The defensive lawyers of Andon Mehillaj have burned the right to
complain at the Court of Appeal regarding the security measure given by
the Serious Crimes, that of the arrest measure.
It seems that this will not happen even in the days to come, since Mehillaj’s move to turn himself is seen by the defense as a readiness of their defendant to face justice. But what is Andon Mehillaj charged of?
Investigators confirm on documents that Top Channel has secured, that the paid hitman, Julian Sinanaj, implicates the two Mehillaj cousins in several crimes during 2011-2013.
Sinanaj declared that Mehillaj is a construction businessman and land owner n Karaburun, who had order explosives to be placed in the apartment building of Ardian Kollozi. The goal was to spread panic among the families and residents, and damage his building.
Sinanaj says that Erjon Mehillaj had changed his name to Andon after being sentenced to Italy over drug traffic charges, and that he was trying to own all the lands were around the property of his family in Karaburun.
Sinanaj says that Sokol Veizi was killed because Mehillaj saw him as a threat for the property in Orikum. For this murder, Sinanaj had agreed with Mehillaj to commit the murder through a phone call.
Sinanaj says that Mehillaj wanted to kill Agron Cela due to his problems with the drug traffic in Italy. Sinanaj confirms that after the crime he had been informed only about the appearance of the target, and he had learned the name only from the news, the day after.
In the attempt to kill businessman Pirro Bare, the other defendant, Gentian Mehilli, in cooperation with another businessman, had allegedly said this sentence to Sinanaj: “My friend wants this person dead”.
After three meetings in a bar, where they paid 50.000 EUR for the crime, they agreed that 100.000 would be paid after the job was done.
The Prosecution says that the communication between them had continued through e-mail. Once in three days Sinanaj used to go close to the businessman’s residence in Qerret, where he had planned to commit the murder.
“I had thought to kill this businessman through an explosive, by realizing a bomb with explosive and petrol, and make the ignition through a cell phone”, Sinanaj confesses.
