Short meeting between President and US Ambassador

The Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, met this Thursday afternoon with the US Ambassador to Tirana, Donald Lu.
The Ambassador entered the Presidency at 19:00, after he had refused to meet him earlier the day.
However, both diplomats didn’t seem to have much to say, since their meeting lasted only 15 minutes.
The meeting comes after the Prosecutor General exchanged harsh declarations with the US Ambassador.
Lu accused Llalla of trying to block the Justice Reform and for bringing three Judges to the Justice Appointments Council, instead of bringing several others to be chosen by lottery for the three free seats. This way, Llalla avoided the lottery and appointed the ones he chose.
Prosecutor Llalla responded even harsher, by accusing the Ambassador for “sorosian” pressures and threats.
