Shocking details about Kareli’s murder

05/04/2014 00:00

The Albanian coroners concluded the autopsy on Kareli’s body and declared that the Albanian prisoner died of violence.

Secure sources told Top Channel that the Coroner’s office is suggesting the Albanian Prosecution to ask explanation from the Greek Coroner’s Office about the absence of the heart, and why tissues have been removed from the body’s arm and fingers.

This request comes after they gave a similar conclusion as their Greek counterparts, who said that the body of the 42-year-old had broken ribs and visible hematomas on his head and face.

As for the absence of the heart, they say that it might have been removed for a detailed procedure, although specialists in these cases do not remove the entire organ.

The Albanian Helsinki Committee suggests their counterparts in Greece to follow the case of torture with fatal consequences of the 42-year-old and inform about the cause of this death. The Fier Prosecution has started an investigation, after a report made by his parents.
