As Velipoja welcomes dozens of vacationers on its picturesque beach every weekend, preparations for the tourist season have started late, due to the election campaign.
Only during the last days, the municipality of Shkodra, through the administration has started cleaning the sandy shore.
Meanwhile, dozens of young people had gathered today voluntarily to help clean the beach in the Viluni lagoon.
Every tourist season, Velipoja hosts about 200,000 vacationers, but the main concerns remain public spaces, the beach cleaning system and the litter.
