The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, is continuing an activity of
the Democratic Party throughout the country. This Tuesday he stopped in
Shkoder.
While inviting all activists and voters of the Democratic Party to join in the big protest of February 20th, Basha made an alarming representation of the situation in which our country is in, underlining that democracy risks being replaced with the “Rama-Meta oligarky”.
“When you have a government that ignores the laws and the Constitutional Court, when you have a government that doesn’t care about the opposition, the only way to face it is going on the streets. This is a real lecture for all politician”, Basha declared during his speech.
He also listed a series of promises that the government failed to keep, and considered the actual reality of Albania as really dramatic.
“The spirit of protest is seen every where. The rushing of young members to the Democratic Party is always bigger”, Basha declared.
Basha meets ambassadors
“The new government is violating the Constitution, the law and the consensus”, was the message given to the ambassadors of the European Union, the OSCE and the United States Ambassador in the meeting that the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, held this Tuesday.
The meeting was held behind closed doors. The Democratic Party declared through a press release that Basha updated the ambassadors with their concerns about the recent government decisions.
“It is unacceptable and unprecedented in the history of state that the government takes an initiative in damage of the public administration”, the announcement says.
In this meeting was mentioned the issue of the new territorial division, with Basha saying that consensus for this topic is necessary to have an all-inclusive process.
