The construction works for building the Shkoder ring road ha ve started
seven years ago and it was planned to end this year, but the investment
is still far from being complete.
Investment in the eastern part of the ring has been halved, almost no one is working and the pot-holed road has turned into a nightmare for the citizens.
The construction works started on 31 August 2006, and was inaugurated by the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha. The project declared that the work would end by 2007. The lack of funds made this 6 km long road to be left behind for a record breaking time.
