Shkoder, hydropower plants stop discharging water, flood water levels drop

Hydropower plants have discharged considerable amounts of water for the past three weeks, flooding the Nenshkoder area. The discharges today have been lower and this was noticed in Nenshkoder as well, where the water level started dropping.

The water has dropped 20 centimetres in flooded areas and in the suburbs as well.

Different from a few days ago, areas like Dajc and Velipoja can now be crossed by vehicles.

The first assistance has come from foreign countries, with Turkey bringing 500 packages of food and 18.5 tons of concentrate.
