Four “Martyrs of Democracy” were commemorated today in Shkoder. They died on April 2nd, 1991, protesting against the former regime.
27 years later, relatives of the dead appeal the Prosecution General, Arta Marku, to take the fate of their relatives and bring justice for them.
The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said that the same as 27 years ago, those who he considers successors of the dictatorship regime, are impoverishing the Albanian people. Drawing parallels between the recent events in Kukes, Basha has a warning for Rama: “What started in Kukes will not stop and will continue until the tyranny and crime are brought down. Kukes fought and stopped the evil. Let this be the good start of the upcoming Spring”, Basha said.
According to Basha, the biggest task of the DP is to work with citizens and cut what he considers ties between crime and politics.
