Shkoder citizens flock in queues to pay energy before deadline

The Prefect of Shkoder appealed the government to postpone the deadline
for paying the energy bills, since in Shkoder have been created long
queues with citizens who want to pay. According to the Prefect, this
situation creates the possibility for corruption, since there are people
who are offering to sell their place in the queue.
Hundreds of citizens want to finalize the payments, waiting for hours in queues, since the deadline for paying only 80% of the penalties expires on February 28th. The same situation has been created in Korce too.
The Director of the Albanian Energy Distribution, Ardian Cela, declared that the payment can be realized through cell phones, post offices and banks too, in order to avoid queues, but he didn’t give any announcement for postponing the deadline.
He appealed everyone who has an agreement with his company to respect it.
