The town of Shengjin is still under smoke and fire. Flames progressed
towards the mountain, near the town center. No intervention was made
from air until 10:00.
The situation changed when a single helicopter was engaged against the fire. The firefighters were standing by, but the harsh terrain and lack of infrastructure made it impossible for them to intervene.
A complex was endangered by the activation of a fire source, but 60 firefighters intervened to localize the flames.
The Lezhe Police arrested the 63-year-old, Preng Pergjoni, who had lit fire on his land to recover his pastures.
